Welcome aboard Simon Cochrane - Professional Ironman
Simon is an accomplished Professional Ironman Athlete with a reputation that is rapidly gaining momentum on the Ironman circuit. He has extensive experience as a personal trainer and endurance coach - working with people from all walks of life - helping them to achieve their health and sports goals Simon's background was initially in gym-based strength and conditioning before he pursued his passion in the sport of Long Distance Triathlon.
He currently works with a wide variety of clients who compete at multiple distances and ability levels. He really enjoys assisting and watching his clients improving and fulfilling huge goals! He has been racing Ironman professionally over the last 2 years and has racked up some impressive results this season over the Ironman distance. 5 x top-10 placing over the international season and various podiums throughout the New Zealand summer.
He has a few more big races planned for this year with the next one at Challenge Penticton on Aug 24th.
He will be looking to start up a Run workshop at the trust stadium track on Tuesday evenings from 29th July. With the main focus being on run technique, specific drills and strength training to help with everyone's run form. You will be stronger, faster and more efficient which will in-turn make your running more enjoyable and reduce your risk of injuries.
