Iron Man 2017

March 12, 2017

A huge well done to all athletes competing, supporting and volunteering at this years IronMan and 70.3 New Zealand.

Challenging conditions faced 1200 athletes and they entered choppy Lake Taupo.  Strong winds kept the challenge on during the bike and sunny conditions during the run to make the athletes really earn their medals.

Alistair Harsant, Tony Frost, Veronica Ruddenklau and Sandi Woolridge all taking part in the full distance whilst Mike Buenaflor completed the 70.3 with energy to spare looking at the picture.

Both reigning champions were knocked from first place with wins from Braden Currie and Jocelyn MacCauley.  For all results see
